Woke up this morning
Felt like I was dead
Rollin back the covers
And I can't get out of bed
And every muscles aching

Right from my head down to my shoes

Now its time for breakfast
It's really such a thrill
Another glass of water
And another dozen pills

I've got wheat free organic bread

This is not the life I'd choose

They call it ME, CFS Chronic Fatigue
Ross River Virus too
The Post Viral Syndrome and theYuppie Flu',
Or maybe you've just got the blues

So I went to see my Doctor
I asked him for the news
He said my tests were normal
And there's nothin he can do
But He says I might be crazy
Offers me a Prozac or two
You know he hasn't got a clue
I've got the ME Blues

I've seen a herbalist, a masseur and a naturopath,
A chiropractor too,
I've tried vitamins and minerals and ginseng tea,
Even some Witches brew! (It stinks)

I didn't go to work today
And now I've lost my job
Everybody looks at me
As if I'm some kind of slob
Well maybe I'm just lazy,
I wonder if that's true,
Hell wouldn't you?
I don't know what I'm gonna do
I've got the ME Blues

Now I'm gettin' weary
And it's time to end this song
Everybody tells me
Just hang in it wont be long
Well maybe I should end it all
Or baby just take a cruise,
Cos' I got nothin to lose
I've got the ME, CFS, Chronic Fatigue,
Post Yuppie, Chronic Viral
Call it what you like syndrome
